Musiq Soulchildが2007年に発表した4作目のスタジオアルバム『LUVANMUSIQ』の2LPレコードがリリース。
Def Jam傘下のDef Soulを離れ、Atlantic Recordsから初めてリリースされた重要作。
2006年末に先行シングルとして発表された「B.U.D.D.Y.」は、De La Soul『3 Feet High and Rising』収録の名曲「Buddy」へのオマージュとなっており、Hip Hopリスナーの琴線にも触れる内容だと言えよう。リードシングル「B.U.D.D.Y.」、そして続く「Teachme」のヒットを追い風に、本作『Luvanmusiq』はBillboardチャート初登場1位を記録。さらに2008年のGrammy AwardsではBest R&B Albumにノミネートされ、「B.U.D.D.Y.」はBest Male R&B Vocal Performance部門にも選出された名盤である。
2007年のオリジナルリリース以降、長らくヴァイナルが廃盤状態となっていた『Luvanmusiq』が、このたびGet On DownとRhino Recordsのパートナーシップにより待望の再発。レッド & クリアのスプリット仕様にスパークル加工を施した限定カラーヴァイナル仕様となっており、世界1000枚限定プレスのコレクターズアイテムとして登場である。
