上記の一文はこのアルバム『modal soul』がリリースされた当時、tribeでの紹介文としてNujabes本人が綴ったものである。非常にシンプルにまとめあげられたこの一文は、実際にアルバムを聞いて共感してもらえればという考えから収録曲の内容に関してあえて触れず、彼は自身のアルバムのコメントに自らの願いを込めた。
